Lesson Planner + Assessments Generation

Overview

Cambridge editorial and learning teams needed a faster way to produce lesson plans with aligned assessments. The existing process was manual, inconsistent, and slow.

I built an AI-powered lesson planner that generates fully-filled lesson plan documents — complete with learning objectives, activities, and assessments — and exports them as print-ready PDFs.

What it does

• Takes a topic, year group, and curriculum context as input
• Generates a structured lesson plan with learning objectives, teaching activities, and formative assessments
• Applies Cambridge's house style and pedagogical guidelines automatically
• Exports a filled PDF ready for teacher use

Impact

Reduced lesson plan authoring time significantly. The tool is actively used by the editorial team and has become a reference implementation for other AI content tools at CUP&A.
